Happy New Year, fireworks and all

For New Years Jeron and I went to my brother Jon's to watch a couple of movies so we could stay up until midnight. Ya... we're lame. Anyway while watching the Princess Bride. Elvis fell asleep on the couch behind my head and I was just about there with him. Then Elvis heard a firework. He doesn't like fireworks much but had been doing really well with them going off for the new year until the one that woke him from his slumber. He barked and jumped awake causing a chain reaction in me cuz I was touching him. I yelped and jumped. Elvis then got so mad at the firework for scaring at me he ran around the apartment until the fireworks died down. Because of this he was the first to welcome the new year. The rest of us followed suit, in a slightly less threatening tone and Jeron and I had our first kiss for the 2012 year.

Baby Cousin

Angie's kids are particularly excited about a new baby cousin. Before I told her kids her youngest Ammon asked me "Aunt O, why do you only have a dog for a baby?" I laughed and asked "If I were to have a baby do you think it should be a girl or a boy?" Ammon quickly responded "Boy!" while Lyssa who overheard the conversation said "Girl!" They went back and forth until Angie winked and said "I know Aunt O should have twins, a girl and a boy." I laughed while Ammon and Lyssa said "YA!" and jumped up and down.

Now her kids know that they should be getting a new baby cousin and are supper excited. Angie plans on being back up here for the birth of the baby. I think Ammon's the most excited. He asked after he found out about the new baby "Can I hold him or her first?" I teasingly said "Do I get to hold it first?" he then replied "No, me!"

As Angie and her family started to leave to go home Ammon said "I want to be here for your babies birthday." It's nice that he's excited cuz traveling takes the biggest toll on him. (He gets very car sick) The funniest part was less then 24 hours after getting home Ammon asked his mom "It's time to go see and hold baby cousin, right?!"

A few days later Ethan went up to his mom and said "Mommy, Ammon gets a new baby cousin?" It's funny because i'm sure he was thinking "How come Ammon gets a new baby cousin and I don't?" Angie replied "You a new baby cousin too, Ethan." Ethan then said "Oh" and walked off.

Hearing Baby

Today Elvis laid his head on my tummy. He was so super gentle and doesn't normally cuddle this much. After a moment of having his head there his head popped up and his ears perked as if he'd heard something. I pointed down and said "I think you heard the baby." After that he settled back on my tummy and took care while moving so that he didn't step on the baby.

Christmas Countdown

So I just put I ticker countdown until Christmas on my blog and I'm not sure how it works but it looks pretty! :) Hopefully it counts down now... Anyway what was super nice was that I don't have to take the one that says how long we've been married off and then try to put it on later. Happy Day! and Merry Christmas in... well too far away.

3rd Grade

This week is my last week in the 3rd grade. It's crazy and wonderful how close we are to the end of the semester. I love all the kids I've worked with so far. The teacher over my practicum asked if I liked Kindergarten or Third Grade better. I don't know if I really can choose. There are pros and cons to both. Anyway Mrs. Goff my cooperating teacher for practicum gave me a gift and a card today cuz she didn't want me to get sick on the last day and not be able to get it. She really is a sweetheart, I've enjoyed working with her. I think what was sweet was one of the boys came in with a gift cuz it was my last day. I told him I had two more days but he was so excited for me to get the gift that he told me I should open it today. When one of the other little boys found out that someone else had given me one he decided that he was going to have to bring me one tomorrow. Oh those silly sweet boys. Jeron thinks there smitten with me.Lol I'm not sure what to say to that. . .

PSA video

PSA

So for my Elementary Education Practicum class we made a Public Service Announcement (PSA). It turned out really good. It's about how we need to teach our children about money, not being wasteful and being healthy. We also need to teach them why learning this is important. Anyway, I think the facts are amazing and make you think, "Why isn't this being taught?"

Yellowstone-Best Buds

Yellowstone was tons of fun. This last week I showed my new class some of the pictures and they LOVED them.
Corwin was particularly cute during the trip and we became best buds. His parents unfortunately stayed in the cabin most the time taking care of his sick sister.
As we walked around Yellowstone we had 6 adults and 3 children so the adults had the advantage. :)
With 2 of the kids being three year olds we had to make a rule that if they were walking they had to hold an adults hand. I held Corwin's hand for a while and then Grandpa wanted a turn. After a while of having to keep up with Grandpa's big steps Corwin got tired and let go. Jeni reminded him that he had to hold someones hand. She offered him choices "Do you want to hold Aunt Jeni's hand, or Uncle Jered's, or Grandma's, or Uncle Jeron's, or Aunt Oly's." After given the choice to hold my hand he said Aunt Oly's.
I don't really blame the kid. There are times I have trouble keeping up with Jeron and he's a couple inches shorter than his dad.
So for most of the time at Yellowstone you could find Corwin and I behind everyone by a step or two. He loved talking with me about the colors and sounds and animals.
One of my favorite conversations was when we were talking about a bird we saw. I changed the topic and said "Oh it's sinky." Corwin replied "Yup, stinky bird." I laughed and said "I think its the sulfer that's making it stinky." Corwin said "No, stinky bird." Oh the joy's of children.
This is a picture of Corwin showing me where we were on the map. He saw a group of people looking at a map and realized what they were doing. The first map he showed me, he traced all the dotted lines to show me where we were going next. It seemed truly realistic, he made tons of loops and went all over the map.
So in short Corwin and I became "best buds". I had tons of fun at Yellowstone. This summer was actually the first time I'd ever been and it was so much fun to go with Jeron's family!
I'll have to post more later. I have no idea when that will be though. :)

Reading to Elvis

So I have to say, the other day I was thinking as I was working with my kindergarten kids "I think my dog gets talked to more than some of these kids." These kids are great but what made me think that was some of them struggled to find the top of the page. When I told them to move their pencil up they looked to me for confirmation. Elvis knows up and down really well and... well me being the crazy person i am I've even read to him too.

Panic Room

This blog post has been brought to you by Jeron.

So Oly just sent me into the spare bedroom for stamps that she said were in a blue basket on the bed. The only thing on the bed was sheets and a red box. I told her I didn't see anything else on the bed. Being the amazing woman that she is, she came to make sure I wasn't being lazy and she also did not see the basket. Elvis followed her in too. After she looked around and did not see the basket in sight she said exasperatedly, "Panic." Elvis immediately put his front feet up on her legs as if to help her not panic. We both had a good laugh and we eventually found the basket and stamps in another room of the house.

Pros and Cons of life in the classroom

I'm loving being in the classroom but just like anything else there are pros and cons. These can be quickly summed up in two short stories. We'll start with the pros first. This week we've been learning about community helpers. We had a blast going to the Fire Station and the Post Office. At the Fire Station we got to turn on the fire hose and spray the trees. At the Post Office I got the coolest Disney stamps in the whole wide world! I'm kinda obsessed, It has characters from Up, Cars, Walle, and Rattatue. (They're forever stamps too) Anyway back to my quick story. Today my teacher asked "Who wants to be a fire fighter when you grow up?" Then she asked "Who wants to be a teacher?" After she asked this, one of our cute shy girls raised her hand, turned around and looked at me to smile. She also talked my ear off today while walking to our field trip destinations. (she doesn't normally do that) Best feeling in the world, I totally felt like i'd made a difference in at least her life. Con- Yuck! One of the little boys in our afternoon kindergarten is defiant . He's a cute, cute kid when he wants to be, but by the end of the day he gets a little snobby. Today while sitting at circle Mr. Defiant slapped the kid sitting next to him. He hadn't done anything wrong but the kid who got slapped exclaimed "Hey!" and then in retaliation slapped him back. They each then had to go sit at a table by themselves until they felt they could be appropriate at the rug. Oh two more stories these ones are more fun than the last one. Ok, this story is about the same two boy as the story above. We'll call them Mr. Defiant and Mr. ADD. A little on Mr ADD first off, he's a cute kid but he struggles paying attention and following directions. This isn't because he is ADD but because he doesn't have proper basic knowledge for Kindergarten yet. Anyway today on our field trip Mr. ADD got to hold my hand for a while when walking because he wasn't staying with our class. Mr. Defiant started having the same problem after getting mad at something so he got to hold my hand as well. Mr. Defiant then promised to act appropriately so he ran ahead to catch up with the class (we were a little bit behind from needing to take a break and talk) He then turned to look back and walked on the grass for a little bit (something he wasn't supposed to do). Mr. ADD said "uh oh, he's not doing what you told him to do, I think you need to hold his hand again because he's being a brat." I had to laugh at that even though I probably shouldn't have. I could totally see what Mr. ADD has been previously been told. Ok last story for the night. Hopefully these make sense when you read them cuz I'm kinda tired. On Tuesday we wrote a letter to ourselves. In the letter we included questions we had about the Post Office. One of the questions was "Where do you keep the stamps." As I was writing down the question I said the words aloud. I got to the "Where do you keep..." I got interpreted by "The Commandments!" Totally another laughable moment. Oh sometimes it's so hard to giggle quietly! Well good night it's well past bed time. Oly

School is now my life.

Right now school is my life, but in a way I guess that means that teaching is my life. At least it's something I enjoy. Any way that means blogging hasn't been a top priority but this week I have an excuse to blog. Thank goodness for technology classes. I've also been challanged to find educational blogs that intrest me. I started by looking at the state of Utah blog http://utahedu.blogspot.com/ and serched until I found my new absolute favorite blog! Teaching Blog Addict /http://www.teachingblogaddict.com/ It's eye appealing and has great ideas for fun activities and worksheets and references tons of other blogs. All in all looking at it just makes me want to be a teacher even more. Another site I found that I think is pretty amazing is Mrs. Patton's Patch http://pattonspatch.blogspot.com/ This blog is fun. It shows cute things that Mrs. Patton has been doing in her classroom. I'm sure that the parents oh her students love to see what they are doing in class. Anyway I'm excited to see what fun ideas they have on their blog next and I promice I will catch up on my blog... someday. :)

Captain America comes in second

Tonight Jeron and I saw Captain America. It was an amazing movie. As we were coming out of the movie however there was "a bunch of hoodlums" as Jeron put it hanging around our car. (6-9 teenagers)I whispered to Jeron "Give me the car keys". Jeron asked "Why?" and I said "Just do it" As he started to get them from his pocket he said "Oh, I think I know" as he handed me the keys. I pushed the little red car alarm button on the back of the keys but nothing happened cuz we were too far away. I then handed the keys to Jeron and said "Make it work!" He then pushed the button setting off the alarm, Jeron then yelled "Whad' you do!?!" The car alarm sent teenagers in every direction and when they realized that it was us that set it off we all had a good laugh. It was absolutely priceless!! ...And even better than Captain America.

See! We really have done cool things. :)

Today has been a day full of blogging. (July 10 & 15) Not exactly sure why I decided to do so much today but I enjoyed myself. I tried to catch up on all the pictures Jeron had in his phone cuz alot of them had some fun stories. I might have blogged so much cuz who's to know when I'll convince him to let me borrow his memory card again. I tried to keep most of them semi in order or at least give an approximate time period. I remember doing scrapbooking for one of my young womans projects and remember it took hours just to find approximate dates on all the pictures. I decided it would be easier to do aproximates now than guesstimates later. Hope you enjoy!

These Posts Include:
No Dogs Allowed, Scalped, Darth Vader Dance , Happy B-day Oly 2011, Hair, Happy B-day J 2010, Wedding Cake,PKU Picnic 2009, Princess, Give it to the Baby, Twinkle little star, Playing Chess, Attack!, My Frog Prince, Our temple

I finally got done with all the pictures from his phone! There are a few more video's but they're just of Elvis being silly. Anyway I feel caught up now, for the most part...

No Dogs Allowed

A month or so ago Jeron and I were on a walk with Elvis. Well apparently he has a sense for where to find trouble, or humor. Regardless this is the picture we got of him.
Shows what he thinks of the No Dogs Allowed Rule.

Scalped

May 2011? So right before we pretended Elvis was adopted and we got a new dog he got a hair cut and I've not had a chance to share some really funny pictures of him.

His before picture

Riding to Petsmart

The background here makes this look awesome

Almost done. Look at the hair on his feet though

and finally scalped. . . I mean after

Darth Vader Dance

Late Oct 2010 Eli came to visit with his mom and sister. It was a lot of fun. Prior to the visit my brother posted a link to this website, http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/1cf04006d2/can-t-touch-vader?rel=player We showed it to Eli because he was... and still kinda is on a huge Star Wars kick. Anyway This is what Eli did when he saw the video.
He's so funny to watch and after watching it a c couple of times he had the dance down pact and started adding some of his own moves. It was awesome, he is already a better dancer than me. Any way Sorry the video is sideways if you know how to fix it let me know. Until then tilt your computer or your head and enjoy. :)
P.S. Eli's lots funny to watch if you've seen the Darth Vader video clip first. Especially cuz I don't know what happened to the sound on the video we took.

Baby Riley

Jeron loves his niece Riley. Being the youngest and not having prior experience with babies has made him a little nervous around her though. Any time it even seems like she might spit up or be wet he quickly gives her over to Jeni. When Riley was maybe a month old Jeron decided he wanted to hold her. He didn't dare stand up with her.

Happy B-day Oly 2011

Just like for Jeron's B-day we went to El Toro Veijo. When we took Jeron's B-day picture we forgot to do it while Jeron had the birthday hat on. I however insisted on wearing the pink sombrero and getting a picture of it. In the picture I'm all decked out in my Aggie clothes and have a high pony tail cuz we just got back from a basketball game. Crazy thought however was when this picture was taken (we went out closer to the weekend) Jeron and I had been married for 6 months.

Hair

When my sister Kaylee and I were younger my mom keep our hair short cuz it was easier to do that way. Since Kaylee could she started growing it out. For convenience sake I've keep my hair shorter cuz sometimes it's a pain dealing with my curls. Recently however my hair has been fairly tame and Jeron has asked me on more than one occasion to please keep it long. Last fall/winter (2010) Kaylee cut off 4ish inches off the bottom of her hair. At first when she posted on facebook that she cut her hair I didn't believe her. I had to call to see it it was really true. I asked her how long it was and these pictures were taken for a comparison of hair length. Turns out for the first time in years my hair was longer than hers.

Happy B-day J 2010

Happy Birthday to Jeron. We celebrated by going to our new favorite restaurant El Toro Veijo. Jeron loved it even more cuz they gave him a free b-day treat that he could actually have. It was so yummy!

Wedding Cake

For our Wedding Cake Jeron and I decided to do something a little bit different. We made a rice crispy cake and decorated it with our semi original origami flowers. The pictures below are pictures of the mock wedding cake. The flowers and cake below are done by my amazing Aunt Opal May. On the actual wedding cake Jeron did the flowers and butterfly's and many people helped with the decorating. We also had a ton of help eating the rice crispy treats. Before my wedding my Dad wasn't the biggest fan of marshmallows or rice crispy treats. Now he can't stand them. lol, that's my dad for ya. My niece Beth however had one of my favorite reactions when she saw pictures of the cake "Wow! Aunt Oly had a cool wedding cake!" It made me smile. It was also fun to have a cake that so much love was put into.

Eventually I'll have to put a picture of the final master piece. Right now I'm on the wrong computer for that and don't feel like movin'. I'm on a blogging roll!

PKU Picnic 2009

Two summers ago they had a PKU picnic held at Hogle Zoo (Summer 2009). I went and learned a lot about PKU. It was pretty easy to learn a lot cuz I hardly knew anything about it. The fun part came through talking to people and looking at all the animals. Jeni and Eli came to. It was really funny at one point, Jeron was watching Eli; Jeni and I were talking to the other people at the picnic. At that time Jeni wasn't sure what to call me so when she introduced me said "This is Olympia, Jeron's special friend." We enjoyed looking at all the animals too. Jeron's favorite, like always was the Hippos.

Eli seemed to really like this snake

Jeni thought this picture was funny cuz most of what you could see was the Elephants bum.

We all compared ourselves to the monkey and gorilla pictures. Jeron made a pretty good monkey but a really good gorilla.

As for the rest of us, I'm not sure where those pictures would be. I'm sure Jeni has them somewhere...

Princess

When looking for wedding stuff last year we were playing with a few ideas. As we wandered the isles of Walmart I found this tiara. I put it on my head and posed pretty. Jeron insisted on getting a picture. Don't I look so pretty ?

Give it to the Baby

Last summer before Jeron and I got married all of Jeron's brothers and sisters were at his parents house. This gave his niece and nephews time to play. The video below shows Eli and Corwin. You'll see glimpses of Corwin trying to take the trike away from Eli. This depicts well how two, 2 year olds play. Later that same day when they were playing with trikes Corwin tried again to take the trike away from Eli. Charles their older cousin by 2 years, lives closer to Eli and knows him better than Corwin. Charles also not realizing that the two boys are both the same age (Eli also looks younger) got protective of Eli and grabbed trike away and said "Give it to the baby!"

Twinkle little star

Eli loved playing the piano. One of his favorites to play was Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star He would sometimes play it on request. It was always really cute. Sometimes but not recorded in this video when Eli wold finish playing his song, he would start clapping for himself.

Playing Chess

Sometime last summer (If we remember right) Jeron's dad made this Jumbo size chess set. It turned out really cool. I think Jeron's nephew Eli enjoyed "Playing Chess" more than anyone else though.

Attack!

One time when Jeron and I were dating we were visiting my Grandparents house. I fell asleep on the couch and for some reason my brother Luke decided that it would be fun to make a pile on top of me with all the soft things. He convinced Jeron to help him and the end result was me waking up very hot.

That's my silly brother for you.

My Frog Prince

Oct 2009 Jeron and I went on a double date with Brian Larson and my old roommate Kimberly (Kimmy) Newman to the corn maze. Brian was a little freaked out because not only was it his first date off his mission, Kimmy's a white girl. Having served his mission in Africa it seemed like years since he saw a white girl. :) Right outside the corn maze they had a frog prince picture things. It was fun but it was dark so the picture didn't come out the best quality. I fixed it a little bit on picnik and at least you can now kinda see our faces. Jeron made a really good frog face but I keep laughing so when they took the picture you couldn't even see my kissy face.

Our temple

As many of you know, Jeron and I were married in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. It became our temple because we went to the open house twice together and we also attended the dedication together as well. One of the times we went to the Oquirrh Mountain open house together it was raining. When the rain stopped we looked up and saw not only one rainbow but two. Jeron was able to catch part of It's beauty with his phone camera.

update

So blogging is something I'm not very good at doing. I guess it kinda goes in spurts. :S I'm so silly. I just wanted to say I really don't hate sprint that much (I already took off some ! from my last post but left quite a few for emphasis.) Anyway summers started and we've been keeping fairly busy. It seems I'm either working constantly or not at all. We've done cool stuff like going to yellow stone, a pku lunch and learn and the like that I really should write about. I think I'm going to leave all that fun stuff for another day.

The good the bad and the obvious

Good news! This week has been a wonderful week to plant a garden. Last weekend I got some starter plants for 99 cents and because of the rain I was able to easily remove the weeds, and plant my strawberries, tomatoes, peppers and daisies. The bad news is they might have gotten a little too much water. I'm sure they'll make it truly the bad news is that I left my phone on the porch during the rain storm and now it's obviously broken. :( Life without a phone is cruel. I hate sprint. When i got my phone they said that they would basically cover everything for free so i had time to think about getting insurance on it and yesterday when Jeron an i went in thy said that they couldn't do anything for it and that i'd have to transfer to an old phone or buy a completely new one myself. I really really am mad at SPRINT!

Ball?

The other day we got Elvis a new ball to play with, because although he's not a big chewer every once in a while he would chew on the foam ball we had him fetch and it started missing pieces. The new ball we got him is a sturdy rubber treat ball that we've not yet put treats in. However Elvis LOVES his new ball. It goes everywhere with him. He would even take it outside but Jeron made a rule that is not allowed out there so it won't get lost. I think the funniest thing is that he even takes the ball to bed with him. Silly boy.

Family pictures

When we were down in So Jo Jeron's mom paid that she wanted pictures for mothers day, birthday, christmas, ect. Good thing too cuz i'm not very good at getting gifts for mothers day and that kinda thing. So i figured we'd take advantage of Jeron's sister Jenifer cuz she has a nice camera and take our first family pictures with Elvis.

It was windy so my bangs went crazy in this one.

and my favorite

We also had fun hunting for treats... (they were in my pocket)

playing with baby Riley... (isn't she a doll?)

playing soccer

and being our cute little selves.

Adopted?

A few days ago I posted on facebook that someone called about wanting to adopt Elvis. Funny thing is that it was us that called wanting to adopt him :) He's a cute little guy and we love him. We ran into Lisa, the 4 paws worker over fostering, at pets mart on our way to get Elvis a hair cut. He really needed it as seen in the pony tail post below. As we were talking to Lisa she said that she'd give us a good deal if we wanted to adopt him cuz we'd been fostering him for so long. Anyway the next day we gave Lisa a call and saved 50% on him, Lisa also let us continue to borrow the 4 paw crate Elvis uses. It's kinda nice cuz those things are expensive.
Anyway because it looks like we have a completely different dog because of his hair cut and he got adopted by us, this weekend when we went to visit family I told them that "Elvis was adopted but we got a new dog that you need to come meet."
Jeron's family's not on facebook alot so it didn't work as well with them. but they did pause for a few min to make sure it was him.
Kaylee's reaction was my favorite though. I told her that she needed to see our new dog but she was talking with my Aunt Opal and cousin Lehi. So she had them come over to Grandad's house to say hi too.
Elvis ran right up to them to say hi as soon as they sat down. Aunt Opal May started asking all sorts of questions; What's his name? Is he well trained? Is he naturally short haired? Thing like that.
Jeron told them that his name was Bosco and Kaylee called "Come here Bosco." and Elvis did. It almost made me blow my cover. I think the reason he responded so well is Kaylee and I sound a lot alike.
We eventually told them that he really was our new dog but it was still Elvis Opal May said " I wondered why he seemed so friendly. It was like he already knew us."
Kaylee responded in her cute way. "Well you told me he was a different dog and he responded to Bosco, so I believed you.
Here's some pictures of our "new" dog. He looks so different and is half the size without his hair.

Isn't he cute?

Finals week and Pony tails

Oh my gosh this week is finals week and we'll be lucky if we survive! I'm sick with a cold again (i'm sick of colds already) and today we had a friend come to pick something up. I not only had my cold but took a nap cuz i had a headache too. This friend looked at me and said "Your not don't look very good." Jeron then replied "She's not feeling to good." Thankfully he didn't say anything else cuz i didn't have the strength to discuss it. He did tell me that he hoped i felt better as he left.

So Elvis' hair is getting really long but i don't dare cut it because Logan thinks every other day it should be winter and i don't want Elvis to freeze cuz we chopped all his hair off giving him a summer cut. Today Jeron looked at Elvis and said "I wonder..." With that i knew something was up and went to go find out what exactly Jeron was wondering about. Apparently, as seen in the picture below, Elvis' hair is long enough to put into a ponytail.

It's kinda hard to see cuz of his long shaggy hair and Elvis keep wiggling trying to get the pony tail out.

Easter

Happy Easter! The last couple of weeks we have been doing a 12 days of Easter for some of the people in the ward. It's been lots of fun but I'm kinda glad I don't have to remember to bring an egg over to their houses every day. The 12 days of Easter looked like this.

Egg #1: Small piece of bread/cracker - Matthew 26:26-27 – “And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, and said, Take, eat; This is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;”

Egg #2: Sac cup - Matthew 26:39 – “And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.”

Egg #3: Coin - Matthew 26:14-15 – “Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests, And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.” Fulfilled the prophecy in Zechariah 11:12-14

Egg #4: Red Cloth- Matthew 27:28 – “And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.”

Egg #5: Thorns- Matthew 27:29- “And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying Hail, King of the Jews!”

Egg #6: Cross/Nail- Luke 23:33 – “And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand and the other on the left.”

Egg #7: Sponge- Luke 23:36 & Matt 27:48 – “And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering vinegar.” “And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave to him to drink.”

Egg #8: Die- Matthew 27:35-36 – “And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.”

Egg #9: White cloth - Matthew 27:5 – “And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,.”

Egg #10: Rock- Matthew 27:6 – “And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.”

Egg #11: Spices- Matthew 28:5-6 – “And when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had brought sweet spices, that they might come to anoint him.”

Egg #12: Empty Egg - Matthew 28:5-6 – “And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.”

I'm so glad that I know my savior lived and died for me. It's amazing to think of how much he did for me and that if I accept him and repent he will lift my burdens and carry my sins.

Happy Easter and Happy Birthday to my wonderful Mom :)

The Five Love Languages Quiz

Today in institute out teacher, Brother Hundsaker, had us take The Five Love Languages Quiz I've taken it before and it was fun to get to know myself better but man some of those questions are HARD! Brother Hundsaker said to make a distinct decision when deciding so this it what I did. :D

Isn't it great? Only problem was Jeron peeked at my answers and announced in fount of the whole class "Brother Hundsaker, she cheated!", Punk. "I did not cheat! I made a distinct decision... on both of them."
Lol I love my life... most the time last week not so much. I had a 7 pg paper, 5 tests, and 2 stats asignments due in the matter of a few days last week, not so fun.
P.S. I just realized that a month ago was the last time i wrote.
P.P.S. I've been married for 8 months :)

Elvis! :D

Many of you know Jeron and I have started fostering a dog. His name is Elvis and he sometimes looks like Elvis Presley with his black fur and shaggy mop head. Elvis has truly grown attached to Jeron and me this last month. It started with him following us around all over the house, being our little shadow, which he still continues to do. Recently Elvis has decided that he should be able to go everywhere with us and LOVES car rides. Yesterday as we were getting ready to go to South Jordan/Salt lake area for Brian and Anna Larson's wedding. I was packing up the car and Jeron was getting the last things packed away. As I was carrying the dog crate Elvis followed me, ready to get into the car. I didn't want Elvis running all over the seats so I closed the driver's door and worked on getting the crate in the back of the car. When I was done I called for Elvis to come, when he didn't, I knew he hadn't gone far and went around the car to see where he had gone. Elvis thinking I was leaving him panicked and went around the car to the trunk and tried jumping in. I caught him on the tail end of a jump missing the trunk. He quickly tried again finally making it. (Elvis' head goes to about the top of my calf) He settled himself into the trunk along with everything else with this look of achievement. Oh what a silly boy.
More about Elvis:
Elvis is a black Cockier Spaniel who responds to his name, baby and the kissy sound. He has extra fur around his paws that his feet look like slippers. He's made mostly of fur. He has a tinny little tail that when he wags it shakes his whole butt. Elvis is very fond of his family and will allow visitors only if they been approved by "Mommy and Daddy". He's not sure about people walking on the sidewalk around our house, birds, motorcycles, and garbage trucks. He responds to them by barking at them until they are well away from "home". Elvis is more bark than bite though and is learning that chasing after things is not a good thing to do because he gets sent to his room (his crate). When we first got Elvis he only knew how to sit and fetch a ball but has since learned lots more tricks. He now can sit, lay down, play dead, pick what hand treats are in, shake, wave, high five, and dance. He's also pretty good at staying when asked and will stay close when outside with either Jeron or me, unless there are birds around, then all bets are off.
